North Lombok Police Investigates the Death of a French Citizen, the Investigation Has Not Been Closed

North Lombok | Insightnusantara.com - The North Lombok Resort Police is still investigating intensively the cause of death of a foreign citizen (WNA) from France, PNL, who was found dead in a hanging condition. Although the initial results of the external visa did not find any signs of physical violence, the police confirmed that the investigation was still ongoing and had not ruled out any possibility.

North Lombok Police Chief AKBP Agus Purwanta, S.I.K., through the Head of the IPTU Criminal Investigation Unit I Komang Wilandra, S.H., M.H., said that his party and the medical team had done an external visa for the victim's body at Bhayangkara Mataram Hospital, Saturday (10/1).

"The result of this visa is the initial basis for the investigation, but it cannot be immediately concluded as the cause of death. We are still investigating the entire series of events before the victim was found dead," said Wilandra.

Early Medical Findings

Based on the results of the doctor's examination, a snare mark was found on the victim's neck in the form of a circular line on the front of the neck, as well as a snare mark in the form of a vertical line on the left and back of the neck. In addition, there are two scratches on the front of the neck which are suspected to be caused by the friction of the snare.

"On other parts of the victim's body, no injuries or signs of physical violence were found," he said.

In addition, there are several other medical findings that are still in the deepening stage and cannot be concluded in relation to the cause of the victim's death.

THC Positive Urine Test

Investigators also recorded the results of the victim's urine test which showed the presence of THC content. According to Wilandra, the findings are still being investigated and cannot be concluded that they have a direct relationship with the death event.

"We are still investigating this finding further. We are also tracking the victim's activities in the last few days, including who the victim interacted with and where the victim went before the incident," said Wilandra.

Currently, investigators are collecting information from a number of witnesses, tracing digital traces, and examining the victim's personal belongings to reconstruct the entire incident before the victim was found dead.

Estimated Time of Death

Based on the results of the initial examination, the victim is estimated to have died about 10 to 24 hours before the visa was made. From the results of palpation on the neck, no signs of crepitation or indications of neck fractures were found.

"Medically, no indication of a neck fracture has been found. This is one of the aspects that we also look into in the investigation process," he said.

There Is No Conclusion Yet

Head of Criminal Investigation emphasized that until now the police have not drawn any conclusions regarding the cause of the victim's death, including whether the incident was purely suicide or involving other factors.

"We don't want to speculate. All possibilities are still open. Our current focus is to ensure the complete and objective chronology of the incident based on field facts and the results of the investigation," he said.

He added, considering that the victim is a foreign citizen, the handling of this case is done professionally, transparently, and carefully.

"We want to make sure not a single fact is missed. We will explore every detail," Wilandra concluded.

Polres Lombok Utara Dalami Kematian WN Prancis, Penyelidikan Belum Ditutup

Tes Urin Positif THC
